Funding Education

Who Qualifies for Financial Aid?

Students may be eligible for financial aid to help cover the cost of their education at The Enhanced Institute of Beauticians & Barbers. While income is considered, it does not automatically disqualify you from receiving federal student aid. Factors like family size, financial need, and program costs are also taken into account. Our admissions team is here to help you understand the process and explore your options.

Federal Pell Grant

A grant is a form of financial aid that you don’t have to repay, making it a great way to fund your education. The Federal Pell Grant is designed to provide need-based support to low-income undergraduate students to help them access higher education. The amount awarded depends on factors like your financial need, cost of attendance, and whether you are a full- or part-time student. To apply for the Federal Pell Grant and other federal aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.studentaid.gov.

Federal Subsidized Loans

Federal Subsidized Loans are available to undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. The school determines the maximum amount you can borrow, ensuring it does not exceed your financial need. One of the key benefits of this loan is that the U.S. Department of Education pays the interest while you’re in school at least half-time, during the first six months after you leave school, and during any periods of deferment. This makes Federal Subsidized Loans a more affordable option for students looking to fund their education.

Federal Unsubsidized Loans

Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans are available to both undergraduate and graduate students, with no requirement to demonstrate financial need. Your school determines the amount you can borrow based on your cost of attendance and any other financial aid you receive. Unlike subsidized loans, you are responsible for paying the interest on an unsubsidized loan during all periods, including while you are in school and during any deferment or grace periods.

PLUS Loans

PLUS Loans are federal loans that parents of dependent undergraduate students can use to help pay for educational expenses not covered by other financial aid. These loans are designed to fill the gap between the cost of attendance and any financial aid the student has already received. PLUS Loans can be a valuable resource for families needing additional support to fund their child’s education.
